From columbus-pm at pm.org Thu Jan 18 07:11:36 2007 From: columbus-pm at pm.org (Columbus, OH Perl Mongers) Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2007 10:11:36 -0500 Subject: [Columbus-pm] Avoid activestate 5.8.8 builds >= 818 Message-ID: Avoid Activestate 5.8.8 build 819, if you use activestate on win32. I thought it was just a problem on my system, but after a co-worker couldn't install DBD-Oracle and viewing the comments on http://trouchelle.com/perl/ppmreview.pl?, I would recommend staying with build 817. PPM appears to be a GUI on 819. I don't see how it improves the user experience compared to the text mode. -Jason ----------------------------------------- This transmission may contain information that is privileged, confidential, legally privileged, and/or exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
