From gunza at missouri.edu Sun May 14 19:24:13 2006 From: gunza at missouri.edu (Gunz, Alexander J.) Date: Sun, 14 May 2006 21:24:13 -0500 Subject: [Columbia-pm] building graphs online? Message-ID: Is there some type of perl mod that can generate graphics that post to a web page? More detailed explanation: I'm building a website which people will visit repeatedly, registering a score each time (recorded with a time stamp). I want to give them an option to see a line graph plotting their scores over time. Saving scores and reading them into arrays is easy enough, but is there some perl mod that can be used to generate line graphs? Sub-question: I'm working on Mizzou's server, so if this would involve installing a module from CPAN or such, would I have the permissions to do that? I'm writing to remind you all that YAPC::NA is only a few weeks away. The conference will be held in Chicago June 26th through 28th and will feature four simultaneous sessions of Perl talks for three days in addition to a job fair, banquet, and auction. After the conference Damian Conway, Randal Schwartz, and brian d foy will be sticking around and conducting professional training classes and extremely reduced prices. This email is a little spammy (sorry about that), but I just wanted to remind you all about the conference and also ask for your help in promoting it so that we can fill up the few spots that are remaining. We invite you to put up posters: http://yapcchicago.org/yapc_poster.pdf http://yapcchicago.org/yapc_poster_white.pdf Or maybe a web banner: http://www.yapcchicago.org/yapc_banner_wide.jpg http://www.yapcchicago.org/yapc_banner_narrow.jpg Thank you for your help in making YAPC a success once again, Josh McAdams
