This conference is somewhat pricey, if you take a lot of tutorials, but I
thought it was well worth it.

Subject: Perl Conf & Open Source Conv Early Reg Deadline

Dear Perl Conference 3.0 and O'Reilly Open Source Convention Alumni,

Forgive the intrusion, but we wanted to be sure that you had a chance to
rejoin us for this year's Perl Conference and Open Source Convention at our
best early registration rates. You can save up to $280 if you register by
Friday July 16. The event will be held this July 17-20 in Monterey,
California.

You can find complete information online at:
The Perl Conference 4.0: http://conferences.oreilly.com/perl4/
The O'Reilly Open Source Convention:
http://conferences.oreilly.com/oscon2000/

What is new this year?
----------------------

* The Perl Conference expands to 6 tracks. There is so much great new
material to cover this year, we added a track to get it all in.

* New Open Source tracks on BSD, PHP, and Mozilla. These technologies
deserved deeper treatment and we'll cover each in special one-day
'mini-tracks'.

* More great tutorials. From object-oriented Perl to Apache's XML tools to
Linux clustering you will find more tutorials lead by hands-on experts.

* 'State of' talks in each technology. These overview talks are your chance
to get up to date with the changes in Perl, Python, Linux, Tcl, Apache and
more. State of talks are generally given by the technology's founders
including Larry Wall in Perl, Guido van Rossum in Python, Rasmus Lerdorf in
PHP, and Brian Behlendorf in Apache.

* A focus on the 'open source Internet web platform'. Throughout the
Convention you will find talks that help you build and maintain faster, more
interesting, and more secure web sites and distributed applications.

* More to do at night and for families. The evenings are packed with
high-value Birds-of-a-Feather sessions as well as receptions that help
connect new and old friends. We have added an entire program of activities
for families while you are busy at the event that includes discounted tours
of Monterey and other great activities.

Why register now?
-----------------

Beyond saving money, if you register early you'll receive a convention
t-shirt as a thank you. As important, you'll be able to lock in a scarce
Monterey hotel room at special Convention prices.

We hope you can join us once again for the Perl Conference and the O'Reilly
Open Source Convention.

Sincerely,
Joseph McIntyre
for the O'Reilly Conferences Team
