I just got started trying to use eclipse (www.eclipse.org) which has some
built-in support for refactoring. I'm using "Eclipse in Action"
(www.manning.com) which has a short chapter on refactoring (but is a good
book for eclipse though as a java editor) and hoping to get enough
understanding to use the perl plugin:
http://e-p-i-c.sourceforge.net/

I guess just a comment on using a tool/IDE to do/help w/ the refactoring.
