G'day Brisbane-PMers,

This email is primarily to Gordon Fletcher but is also an encouragement 
to you all as well.

Currently Brisbane's Perl Monger's webpage (http://brisbane.pm.org/) has 
the following to say about this mailing list:

    The Brisbane.pm mailing list ... you can also get involved by joining
    the Brisbane.pm mailing list. Send an email to majordomo@hfb.pm.org
    with the words subscribe brisbane-pm-list in the body of the message.
    If you want to send messages to the list use the address
    brisbane-pm-list@hfb.pm.org.

Unfortunately this is now not true, since PM has moved to using Mailman 
(yay!).  In order to join Brisbane PM's mailing list now, you need to 
subscribe through mailman.... perhaps the above paragraph could be 
rewritten to say:

    The Brisbane.pm mailing list ... you can also get involved by joining
    the Brisbane.pm mailing list.  Head on over to:
    http://www.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/brisbane-pm and subscribe.  You
    can then send messages to the list by using the address:
    brisbane-pm@pm.org

If people can't subscribe, Brisbane PM won't grow.

There are other things that could be updated, but this is the most 
important one.

Subject: [Brisbane-pm] OSDC - Further call for reviewers

G'day folk,

First of all a *huge* thankyou to everyone who has volunteered to review 
papers for the OSDC later this year.  Your assistance is very much 
appreciated.

This is a quick note to say that we don't have *enough* reviewers (yet). 
    So if you intended to volunteer and you haven't done it yet, please 
get in contact with me and tell me how many papers you're happy to 
review between now(ish) and October 8th.  Reviewing shouldn't take much 
more than 2 hours per paper.

In particular we need PHP paper reviewers, so if you cross-code or if 
you have PHP coding friends, please invite them too.

This is a great opportunity to help OSDC get the highest quality papers 
as possible and a good opportunity for you to get a sneak preview into 
what the conference is going to be like.
