I can't remember 'exactly' how it works, so I'll have to go to their website and get a refresher. I'm up for an initial meet-and-greet if we decided to do that in the near future. Also, if anyone knows of a possible host that provides Perl and is either dirt cheap or 'free', please let me know. The current site is hosted on the Perl Foundation's web server and it provides NO server backend technology (Perl not available on the Perl Foundation server, ironic). Back when I did some work for GKG, they offered to host the site, but I haven't heard anything back after contacting them recently. If a host wants advertising/promoting, that's cool with me. I figured that we might need somewhere to put projects/test scripts/examples/tutorials once we started having technical meetings and such. We could go have Fajitas at Margarita Rocks or Nachos at Mi Cocina (can you tell I like Mexican Food?). Also, I would encourage everyone to post to the list if you are having trouble with something in Perl (or really anything), if you've done something that you would like to share, if you've read something interesting, if you have a question, etc. If you would like, post what you're doing, projects you're involved in, interests you have, good books, etc. In a later e-mail, I'll post some of what I'm involved in. I have some stuff going on next week, so I would probably not be able to do it then. Here are a few options (feel free to add other days or options): Mon, 05/08/2006 - 7:00p Tue, 05/09/2006 - 7:00p Mon, 05/15/2006 - 7:00p Wed, 05/17/2006 - 7:00p Thu, 05/18/2006 - 7:00p Fri, 05/19/2006 - 7:00p And as for the location, I'm open to wherever. Off the top of my head, some restaurants close to campus that I can think of are: Chili's (Texas Ave.) Mi Cocina (G Bush) Somewhere in Northgate (I'm not very familiar with what's all in Northgate) Let me know what you guys think!
