Notice was sent out several months ago about the transition and all existing
subscribers were transitioned to the new Mailing List: baltimore-pm at pm.org

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience.. Last month's meeting did
not come together as cleanly as I would've liked.  We are currently at the
mercy of the ETC Security Staff to provide open access to the building for
our meetings.  It's not ideal, but the space is really nice and there is
free parking with several great local bars very nearby.

We've been ramping up attendance, and we might soon have enough people to
run a "shift work" type rotation on the front door.  Previously we had only
managed to draw the same 4 people month after month, which made it
impossible to host a meeting and man the door.

We're getting better, and our aim is to continue that trend.  Working with
folks like Sourcefire and OmniTI to provide some interesting talks. :)

If you have suggestions, please feel free to contact me directly.  I've
taken over the management of the group and am getting a lot better at making
the meetings worthwhile.

I know a few Baltimore folks missed out on the original planning
meeting in July.  We're having a virtual meeting this month due to
travel/vacations/families on IRC.

Details:
  When: Tonight, August 10th, 8PM EDT

We will be creating a TODO List and doling out tasks to folks.  This
is only for people who'd like to be Tier 1 Organizers.  If you want to
help, but don't have the resources/time to participate in monthly
organizational meetings, no harm, no foul.  We'll have other things we
need as we draw closer and there will be a plethora of tasks on the
day of to fulfill your desire for community service!

I've found myself a bit behind schedule due to complications resulting
from my wisdom teeth extraction.  I've been unable to recruit a solid
line up of speakers.  The good news, is next month is already taking
shape.

I will most likely be healed enough to ramble on for hours about Perl
and tangentially related topics, but I'd like to give others the
opportunity to say something.  Is there anyone interested in doing a
talk?  If you can only do 5-10 minutes that's fine!

Hey,

I won't be able to attend tonight, my dog is injured and can't be left alone
very long- I requested the conference room a couple weeks ago, so hopefully
the doors will be unlocked but they have been bad about that lately.

I think it's best to cancel this month's meeting.. I had complications
from having my wisdom teeth pulled last friday.  Thought I was in the
clear as yesterday wasn't too bad.. However, today is much much
worse.. Anything other than sleeping is excruciating.

I already have at least one speaker lined up for next month, and we'll
be out of the summer vacation, so it should be better.  If there are
folks still interested in getting together tonight, please do so with
my blessing.. :)
