If you already have good html, you can use something like htmldoc or html2pdf... I have a friend who used PDF::FDF::Simple to generate pdfs using data from an Acrobat-created form (I think). Also know of people that use PDF::API2 and heard good things about CAM::PDF. All of this is pretty much 2nd or 3rd hand, but maybe better than nothing. mike On Wed, Apr 1, 2009 at 3:34 PM, Keith Howanitz wrote: > Anyone have any recommendations for creating pdf files - does not > /have/ to be from Perl directly - as long as it is something I can > call from Perl. > > Found Text::PDF - but do not want to spend time with it if there is > something better. > > TIA, > -- > -Keith > howanitz at gmail.com > _______________________________________________ > Austin mailing list > Austin at pm.org > http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/austin > From jim at laceytech.com Wed Apr 1 16:55:09 2009 From: jim at laceytech.com (Jim Lacey) Date: Wed, 1 Apr 2009 18:55:09 -0500 Subject: APM: pdf creation In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <8a1db4490904011655o479ed04cp288ba843c30aa6b1@mail.gmail.com> Keith - This link will give you some insight. http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=596929 Jim On Wed, Apr 1, 2009 at 3:34 PM, Keith Howanitz wrote: > Anyone have any recommendations for creating pdf files - does not > /have/ to be from Perl directly - as long as it is something I can > call from Perl. > > Found Text::PDF - but do not want to spend time with it if there is > something better. > > TIA, > -- > -Keith > howanitz at gmail.com > _______________________________________________ > Austin mailing list > Austin at pm.org > http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/austin > -- James Lacey Laceytech LLC 11607 Buckingham Road Austin, TX 78759 +1 512 335 7422 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Would anyone be able to coordinate the meetings for a few months? If you want to stick with Mangia, all you have to do is ask them to reserve the room a little bit in advance. It's always been available when I've done it. Sorry to have to bail, but I'm just going to be a bit snowed under for a few months. Thanks, -- - Ian.
