Hi there fellow Perl Mongers. I'm writing to remind you all that
YAPC::NA is only a few weeks away. The conference will be held in
Chicago June 26th through 28th and will feature four simultaneous
sessions of Perl talks for three days in addition to a job fair,
banquet, and auction. After the conference Damian Conway, Randal
Schwartz, and brian d foy will be sticking around and conducting
professional training classes and extremely reduced prices.
This email is a little spammy (sorry about that), but I just wanted to
remind you all about the conference and also ask for your help in
promoting it so that we can fill up the few spots that are remaining.
For more information check out http://www.yapcchicago.org.
We invite you to put up posters:

Or maybe a web banner:

Thank you for your help in making YAPC a success once again,

Last meeting we decided (based primarily on completely selfish
reasons of yours truly) to try changing the monthly meeting day
to the SECOND Wednesday instead of the third. If this will
cause anyone to frequently miss meetings, we can try to find a
better time.
For the June meeting we will descend upon an as yet undetermined
eatery/drinkery (venue suggestions welcome) and just generally
hang out, as is the summer Austin.PM tradition. And instead of
a formal program in July, we'll have an open ended problem
solving/brainstorming session. It worked out pretty well the
last time we did it.
And if you're dying to know the reason for the day change...
I'm looking into building a "green" house, and the Austin
Sustainable Building Coalition (http://greenbuilder.com/sbc/)
inconveniently has their meetings on the third Wednesday too. I
thought about infiltrating their organization and toppling their
leadership in a bloodless coup in order to change their
schedule, but this was easier.

Hi,
I haven't gotten any suggestions on where to meet this
Wednesday. I'll throw out some ideas, but please chime in if
you have any others. We've been meeting in the north side of
town, but would we want to go somewhere south for a change? Any
thoughts?
If we want to go the margarita route, I really like Curra's
(best Mexican in town if you ask me), and they just opened a new
one at Parmer and McNeil. The other one is on Burnet between
Anderson and Koenig.
And of course, BB Rover's seems to be almost mythical amongst
PMers, but I've never been.
Any others?
- Ian.

We could go more central/south, need to hear from those who find that
easier though.
How about Chuy's on 183 (or if we have Southern people on Barton
Springs)? Though Curra's should be good (never been there) if we go to
the one on Burnet.
I never saw BB's as a dinner location, only drinks (someone contradict
me if I'm wrong, never had dinner there).

I like Chuy's. The one in 183 is easier to get to, but the one on
Lamar tends to be less crowded. A correlation there, I wot.

OK, The responses included support for BB's, Chuy's, and
Curra's. Sounds like BB's isn't as much of a dinner type place,
so why don't we go Mexican. My vote is for Curra's, and some
people indicated they'd be up for it if we did it at the Burnet
location, so why don't we do it there. I know they have some
vegetarian stuff, too. Let's meet at 7:00 to give people time
to get there.
So, this month's meeting will be TOMORROW (second Wednesday, not
third), June 14, at Curra's on Burnet at 7:00 PM.

And we could always head over to BB's (or Waterloo, or ???)
after dinner if we want.

All,
My name is Lindsey Ohls and I am a recruiter for TEKsystems in Austin,
TX. We are currently looking for a resource to add to one of our
client's development teams. This position would be a contract-permanent
position located in North-Central Austin.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a hosted web, archive and messaging services company. They
deliver and support superior corporate email, regulatory compliance, and
business collaboration tools, as well as custom applications for the
financial services industry.
Our client is looking for someone with strong Perl DBI skills.
Experience with building web applications in Perl (not simple Perl
scripting, but full Perl apps - especially OOPerl) is essential. Other
technology in this environment stack is Linux, Apache and a Sybase
backend. Familiarity with those is definitely a plus, but not a
requirement. The candidate should be familiar and experienced in SQL if
they don't have Sybase specifically.
Please let me know if you think you might be interested in discussing
this (or other) opportunities!

Okay I want to do the following in this order:
s~(/nexres/reservations/application[^"])+~VALUE$1~g
s~/nexres/reservations[^"]+~VALUE2~g
How do I construct REGEX #2 so that it doesn't match the result from
#1? I need something like:
/nexres/reservations([^"]+) where $1 is not like '/a.*'
I know there is something like that, but don't remember the syntax.
Thanks-
