We have a meeting this Wednesday at the ARL. Not at Servergraph this month, at the ARL... The discussion will be Jim Freeze of the local Ruby user group (ARCTAN) giving an intro to Ruby and Wayne Walker giving a sermon, er talk, on the wonders of Perl++, er Ruby... -- Wayne Walker www.unwiredbuyer.com - when you just can't be by the computer wwalker at bybent.com Do you use Linux?! http://www.bybent.com Get Counted! http://counter.li.org/ Perl - http://www.perl.org/ Perl User Groups - http://www.pm.org/ Jabber: wwalker at jabber.gnumber.com AIM: lwwalkerbybent IRC: wwalker on freenode.net From wwalker at bybent.com Mon Feb 13 07:47:57 2006 From: wwalker at bybent.com (Wayne Walker) Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 09:47:57 -0600 Subject: APM: wider audience for the meeting Message-ID: <20060213154757.GF14038@bybent.com> I was thinking of announcing this week's meeting on ALG and GWLUG. Both of those lists havehad recent threads about scripting languages. ALG specifically wanted someone to come talk about Ruby vs Perl vs Python. Anyone think of a reason to not invite all the local linux groups? I'd invite CTLUG too, but they had a Ruby talk in December or November. -- Wayne Walker www.unwiredbuyer.com - when you just can't be by the computer wwalker at bybent.com Do you use Linux?! http://www.bybent.com Get Counted! http://counter.li.org/ Perl - http://www.perl.org/ Perl User Groups - http://www.pm.org/ Jabber: wwalker at jabber.gnumber.com AIM: lwwalkerbybent IRC: wwalker on freenode.net From wwalker at bybent.com Mon Feb 13 11:41:31 2006 From: wwalker at bybent.com (Wayne Walker) Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 13:41:31 -0600 Subject: APM: wider audience for the meeting In-Reply-To: <20060213154757.GF14038@bybent.com> References: <20060213154757.GF14038@bybent.com> Message-ID: <20060213194131.GD16439@bybent.com> Well I did invite all 3 groups.
