Briefly the following is from a discussion among Perl Mongers organizers about having their group Web page on a Wiki site and allowing the members to maintain their own sections of the page. To this socially- challenged dude it sounds an awful lot like interacting and organizing and so on. Comments? Is anyone interested in this? Would anyone like me to forward their thoughts about the concept to the Perl Mongers powers? Linda, you mentioned this as a possibility once. I'd most likely move Vancouver.pm to this - hopefully it would foster participation from the Vancouver Perl community. -chris On 7/11/07, Bill Odom wrote: > Hi all. > > Here's part of the proposal I put together a few weeks back, when I > (re)proposed Andy's original wikis-for-PMs idea to the Socialtext > Powers-That-Be. She's one of us :-) That said, she'd appreciate it if you all took some time to take her survey and to convince your pm'ers to take it too. Wade Johnson" For those of you who did not get a chance to get the limited edition YAPC::NA 2007 t-shirt, now's your chance. Thanks to lower than expected turnout to the Houston YAPC, we have a number of the t-shirts and tote bags left over. Rather than throwing them away or donating them, we're selling them. I'll be collecting the money and returning it to the Perl Foundation. We have shirts in sizes from M to XXXL: $5. We have the tote bags: $2. I'll also request that you pay shipping. It would be easiest to send out sets of shirts/totes rather than individual items. So I thought you might want to ask your groups if they want to get together an order to help support the Perl Foundation. If you are interested let me know. The supply is not infinite, but I've got several boxes in my home that my wife would like me to clear out. G.
