Let me sum up a few points from discussion to see if there is any vehement agreement or disagreement: * Regular, fixed in advance social meetings Maybe on the same DOW (Friday for maximum social-ness?) or maybe not. But they happen every month, hell or high water. Or drought. * Scheduled technical meetings Perhaps not every month, but as often as we can persuade someone to do it. On a different evening to the social, but 'near' it. * Venue Social meetings will maybe move around. Suggestions as to a quiet place on a friday night with cheap beer are welcome :-) I'm trying to tee up the technical meeting venue at the moment. - Justin -- Justin Hawkins justin at hawkins.id.au From adelaidepm at sevenone.com Tue Mar 2 23:45:25 2010 From: adelaidepm at sevenone.com (Grue) Date: Wed, 03 Mar 2010 18:15:25 +1030 Subject: [adelaide.pm] next perl mongers (location suggestions for future meets) In-Reply-To: <614A78F4-AC44-493C-A740-4FF5600C1A25@hawkins.id.au> References: <4B7E1E77.2050205@hawtin.net.au> <614A78F4-AC44-493C-A740-4FF5600C1A25@hawkins.id.au> Message-ID: A suggestion that might work on occasion is the Tap Inn in Rundle Street Kent town (the old Kent Town hotel). Hi folks, An excuse for a drink or two is always good :-) Sadly I'm pretty much out for this entire week and the next (Kids and interstate travel). But please do get together and even better, drop us all a line and tell us all how it went. I think the influence of beer could probably make devising the Ultimate Meeting Planning Algorithm quite easy! Technical meeting in April - for sure. I'll be the bunny. - Justin -- Justin Hawkins justin at hawkins.id.au
