Austin AC avg thermostat settings?

Well, since I am from the north of England where average day temps at 
the moment are 12 centigrade - about 55 Fahrenheit and this is summer 
here, we could see temperatures of 20/70 degrees (a hot day) at this 
time of year and have to wait for that special week or two in August 
before we see 25/80 (which often doesn't happen) I can say only this.

Bugger.

I had better pack a bucket (pail) so you can carry me around when I melt 
like the portly gentleman at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc.
