plan 9 is just the most famous worst film ever. it was voted that some
years ago so it clings to that title. the director (ed wood) was a loon
and transvestite among other things (like a bad director). he even made
a movie about this called glen or glenda! they made a recent bio-pic
about him called ed wood. so he is famous for some of the worst movies
ever made and they made a move about him because of that! :)
but one of the cheapest bad movies ever made is actually kind of good -
the original b&w little shop of horrors. with jack nicholson in an early
role as a masochistic dental patient. it was shot in 2 days on a set
left over from another movie that was scheduled to be torn down. a roger
corman classic that has to be the best value ever in making a movie
(cost about $20k to make). a must be seen movie!
