FYI there is a BCycle bicycle rental network here. There's a station by the Union (end of Park st) and on the mall; 10 bucks for 24 hours and then half hour rides are free. Apps for the iPhone/Android available to tell you where other stations are (and how many bikes/spaces available there) along with the routes to ride. 

I just tried one down in San Antonio and it's pretty slick, just a three speed but not a bad bike - built-in lock too
