We used tokyo.yapcasia.org for YAPC::Asia 2006 and
tokyo2007.yapcasia.org for 2007. It worked well except one pitfall: No
Page Rank transition.
Because lots of people linked to tokyo.yapcasia.org in 2006, Googling
"YAPC Asia" still shows tokyo.yapcasia.org as its #1 result.

Wish if we have chosen tokyo.yapcasia.org/2007 as an URL for 2007.
Page Rank is still high and Google will choose the subdirectory /2007
prior to /2006 by detecting /2007 is more actively updated than 2006,
at some point.
OSCON does this URL naming scheme, and it works really well.
