When it comes to performance profiling I tend to say "use
Devel::NYTProf" and move on.  So I don't actually have a lot of
experience with using it.  Maybe someone who does could think about
doing a talk on it (or other tools) in the future.  It might be helpful
if you could be more specific about the kind of things you had trouble
with.

I'd be more than happy to share my knowledge of such matters in a
"conversational non-presentation" mode :-)

I shall endeavour to ensure there's beer in the fridge and maybe find a
whiteboard.
