I suspect it would be fairly short, so I might just prepare some slides
anyway and then I can give it if there's time or someone else can't make
it, or else do it in the future at some point.

Sanity has prevailed, and Python UG meetings are now the *first* Thursday
of the month to avoid ever falling in the same week as Perl mongers:
