Hi Wendy and others,

Volunteers page updated.

Conditionally I can be available for other tasks whenever I am in.

I propose I “report present for duty” asa I am on the conference and check with your team where you need me.

On Thursday & Friday morning I risk being a bit later since probably having each morning an appointment till 09:00 at a BNI networking breakfast meeting.

Great job so far from you all!

Cheers.

Dirk.

Hi Dirk and others,

I would love to have you as timekeepers and for other volunteering tasks. The schedule is finished now, and we even added two days of training beforehand.

I do realise that the schedule can change at some points, now people are adding presentations to their personal schedule. In some cases, presentations already switched from day to another, from one room to another, from one timeslot to another, because too many people wanted to see two talks at the same time. But it looks like we're nearing the final version of the schedule now. So maybe now is the time to tell us in which rooms you would like to keep an eye on the time for the speakers and the audience, or help with video. http://act.perlconference.org/tpc-2017-amsterdam/volunteers.html

Thanks! All help is welcome.

Kind regards,

Wendy van Dijk

I don’t mind doing timekeeping (or something else) in the afternoons. , but I’ll wait till the schedule is published to make sure it doesn’t prevent me to see some talks I really want to attend.

Thx for the work,

Dear Perl Mongers,

The Perl Conference in Amsterdam is approaching. Lots of things have been organised, we are also very close to publishing the schedule (a list of talks is already online, see http://act.perlconference.org/tpc-2017-amsterdam/talks ), and we will make some more announcements in the next two weeks. We are happy that 272 people have registered to attend the conference. Of course, we hope for some more ( http://theperlconference.amsterdam/how-to-register.html ).

Today, we are asking for volunteers. We do have a nice team of organisers, and several volunteers for several tasks. But we could use some more volunteers, for instance for timekeeping, camera work, at the registration desk.

Please visit our wiki , and add your name at your preferred task section, and how many hours you are willing to donate.

Of course, your hard work will be rewarded. We are still thinking about an appropriate way to do that (wine from the German city of Perl could be involved, or a vintage Perl t-shirt from the collection of Liz and Wendy, or something completely different). Many thanks anyway!

Thank you again for your attention, and I am looking forward to meet you in Amsterdam in August.
