HoiHoi,

wereldranglijst authentieke bestemmingen! ("A gloriously eclectic
city, with an excellent mix of old and new buildings." Cf.
http://traveler.nationalgeographic.com/2008/11/historic-destinations-rated/europe-text/2)

Groetjes.

Dirk.

Hi,

Saturday, 31st of October Vlaanderen.pm has a technical afternoon
meeting from 13.00 till 17.00 in Ghent (
http://www.het-veer.be/de_omgeving.html ). Followed by a social
meeting in the neighbourhood.

This is a sponsored event so free entrance and coffee :-) .

Additional speakers and perl-interested people are still welcome. This
is the opportunity for people to meet and talk about tech stuff
seasoned with Perl. People who have done interesting things, people
who are working on the language itself, people who are using it daily,
and people who are looking to learn about it, will all be there.

Subscribing on a website is not required, just send me an e-mail and
we'll arrange it.

Ghent has some extra aces up its sleeve for a nice city trip.
National Geographic Traveler Magazine ranked Ghent as third on the
world ranking list of authentic city destinations! ("A gloriously
eclectic city, with an excellent mix of old and new buildings." Cf.
http://traveler.nationalgeographic.com/2008/11/historic-destinations-rated/europe-text/2)

Ghent is also a vivid student city, with a castle in the middle of the
monumental inner city, 2 excellent comic book shops, an authentic
mustard shop, city canals, cosy shopping streets, really good food and
drinks, and everyone speaks at least english and dutch.

This afternoon also replaces the 3rd Wednesday of October meeting.

See you soon.

Cheers.

Dirk.
