[Vlaanderen] Vlaanderen Digest, Vol 9, Issue 14

I'm not really into the forum thingie as you would have heared. The
mailinglist is in place. The archiving is in place. I think there are
better things to be done.

Make a new site. Make sure it gets updated regularly with what is going
on in vlaanderen.pm. Assign webmaster, a contentmanager or for every
section of the site a content manager.

Hendrik:

normal email clients can handle threads. Mutt kan and even outlook :D

Regards.

I assume all of you work and most of you have a similar problem. I can definitly see upsides in setting up a forum.. but that works both ways. It'll be easier to follow threads but it'll be on-site (upside: it wont flood the mailboxes anymore). it's perhaps also worth noting that people will probably spend more time on a website than they will on a mail. Before Perlmonks' userbase exploded, I posted a lot! It has to be maintainable as well. Perhaps a forum is something to consider when we get a high message flow?
