 a) NEIN. Bitte keine Mails abseits der Liste. Ich lese die Listen, auf
die ich schreibe, und erwarte das eigentlich von anderen ebenso. Falls
dem mal nicht so ist, ist das bitte extra anzugeben. Soweit zu einer
recht verbreiteten Mailinglisten-Netiquette.

 b) meinte ich das <directory> *nicht* für /home/*/public_html, sondern
für /var/www (oder wo auch immer Du Dein DocumentRoot hast). Damit gilt
Dein mp-Handler nur für eben /var/www und nicht automatisch auch noch
für /home/*/public_html. Dadurch hast Du dann auch keinen Overhead mehr,
rein nach mp, raus aus mp....  Sinnvoller ist es, gleich garnicht
reinzugehen. Genauso, wie man eine Firewall bauen soll: Alles zu und nur
das aufmachen, was man will, nicht umgekehrt dort blocken, wo man's
nicht will.
