Suggestions:
It's going to be hot this weekend and beautiful outside. I suggest:

 * Joining 350,000 people to watch the fireworks in English Bay
   Saturday night. A good viewing spot is sunset beach at the corner
   of David and Denman St. downtown. Show starts at 10, but arrive at
   8:30 to get a seat on the sand.

 * All you can eat Sushi at Tanpopo (also at the corner of Davie and
   Denman St.). They have wild salmon (as opposed to farmed).

 * Hike the Grouse Grind. It's a trail up one of the mountains on the North
   Shore. There's a convenient tram at the top that takes you down for
   $5 and gives you a spectacular view of the city and ocean. People
   will tell you it's hard. It's not. Just take your time (hour and a
   half will do).
