Message-ID: <3.0.6.32.20040608165648.00dcf850@mail.iwhome.com> Out of curiosity, I entered into Google: Perl jobs in Tucson Somewhat to my surprise, some actual relevant links showed up in the top 10 even for this utterly naive, unclever search. http://www.rayjobs.com/index.cfm?Option=AgencyJobDesc&JobID=731160 Stickiest part might be the 'Security Clearance: Secret, Existing Clearance Required' http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.jobs/1376 This posting is a bit old, but Jupitermedia does have an office in Tucson that seems to be committed to hiring people to do work in Perl. http://jobs.saic.com/ajobbext3.nsf/alljobsbyrequestno/DJD081742?OpenDocument Myself, though, the closest client or employer for which I've done Perl work was in Canada. :-) Anyway, I thought this seemed like a good way to remind everyone about the tucson-pm mailing list. Being a current programmer here, I can confirm that this position is probably still open. It's somewhat hectic at times but a nice place to work and good people. And you get to do pretty much everything in Perl :-) From steve at tandika.com Mon Jun 21 20:05:52 2004 From: steve at tandika.com (Steve Baker) Date: Mon Aug 2 21:38:27 2004 Subject: [Tucson-pm] Any Perl Users Out There? Message-ID: <40D785F0.4040509@tandika.com> Hi Everyone - Is anyone interested in getting the Tucson Informal Perl Users Group off the ground? There's got to be a lot of us in town (actually, I live in Sahuarita, but I WORK in Tucson, so I'm qualified...) I do a lot of perl development at work, generally for development support (automating the build, testing and release of products, supporting our many CVS repositories, etc.) I do most of my work on Solaris, HPUX, Linux, OSF1, Irix, Mac, AIX, and (when I must) Windows.
