Dear People Interested in Tucson Perl Mongers,

Several people involved in TFUG (Tucson Free Users Group)
are expressing interest in an informal group to meet once
a month and chat about "portable scripting languages," such as
Perl. Personally, I would like to have actual Tucson Perl
Mongers meetings co-convening with these PS programmers
meetings, so we could chat about Perl quite a lot and
other interesting portable scripting languages (e.g. SQL,
Python, PHP) also.

I think this could be a good way to help get a "critical mass"
of people together to actually start having face-to-face
meetings where much of the discussion will be about Perl
and Perlish topics.

Presently the main mentioned contender for a meeting place is
Bentley's Coffeehouse (on a quiet night, maybe 4th Tuesday
of the month.)

What are your opinions about this general idea?
If you are interested in trying this, what say you
about when and where would be good meeting places?

This will also be a good opportunity for me to find out
how many of the 12 email addresses subscribed to this
list correspond to people who are checking their email
and are actively interested in Tucson Perl Mongers. :-)
