Job Description: As a Sr. System Administrator you will be responsible for day to day management of the Virgin Gaming infrastructure (production, staging, QA, development and corporate IT). This includes Linux Servers (CentOS), Load Balancers, SAN/NAS, switches, routers and firewall gear. The software stack includes Linux, Apache, Tomcat, PostgreSQL and Xen. <br>

<br>Duties and Responsibilities: <br>• Management of SANs, LUN and I/O performance tuning <br>• Knowledge of networking architectures and protocols and troubleshooting tools, ethereal, Wireshark, etc <br>• Network and system performance tuning <br>

• Working with Amazon Web Services <br>• Running cables, racking/building servers, and troubleshooting hardware issues. <br>• Managing network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, etc <br>

• Participate in the on-call rotation for after -hours incident resolution<br><br>Job Requirements <br>• 5+ years of progressive experience in system administration in a distributed Unix/Linux environment <br>• Must have enterprise hands-on experience building, configuring and maintaining a high-availability enterprise Linux environment utilizing Apache, Tomcat, Postgres and Xen <br>

• Has implemented CFengine, Puppet or Chef in a production environment <br>• Familiar with VMware/Xen virtulization <br>• Familiar with SVN, Nagios, Cacti, shell scripting, LDAP. We are open source friendly. <br>• Experience with clustering and performance tuning databases, preferably with PostgreSQL <br>

• RHCE would be an asset <br>• A College diploma or University degree in computer science or engineering or relevant job experience <br>• Excellent written and oral communication skills. <br><br>Location: King/Bathurst</div>
