From jkeen at verizon.net Wed Jul 13 09:33:58 2016 From: jkeen at verizon.net (James E Keenan) Date: Wed, 13 Jul 2016 12:33:58 -0400 Subject: [tpm] Next Tuesday's meeting Message-ID: <57866D76.1010909@verizon.net> I plan to be in Toronto from Sunday to Wednesday or next week, so I'm hoping to attend the toronto.pm meeting next Tuesday at Influitive. I've learned my lesson about trying to drive to Toronto in February. ;-) So unless I have massive car trouble I'll see you then. By the way, the directional link in the meetup.com "See you at" email I got today was problematic. Every time I clicked on this link: https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=43.647861,-79.392906 ... I was redirected to my *home* location in maps.google.com. This occurred repeatedly in both Firefox and Chromium and notwithstanding turning off geolocation, closing and restarting the browser, making sure I wasn't logged into a google account, etc. I discussed this on freenode #nycbug and was told that that link lacked a "zoom level". When I changed the link to: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.647861,-79.392906,15z ... Toronto at last appeared in the browser. Thank you very much. I think this was some combination of Dave's schedule and the room being available. There's no plan to shift the dates again moving forward unless we need to. The error was in not making this clear earlier. > b) The Google meeting?/whatever invite wasn't sent out, > or I wasn't on the invite list. > (I'm watching the YouTube recording right now.) So you didn't get the meetup.com notification? I can't remember if I did. Thanks to both Mike and Richard for giving informative, humorous and very well prepared talks. You can catch up on them here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaKt8vc4Ako I learned a lot from both of them. It was good to see Jim on his quasi-annual visit as well. :) We're still looking for a second speak for August. Doesn't need to be a long talk, but if there's something you'd like to share, please get in touch with me or Dave Doyle.
