Hi there,

Interested in hearing what other people in the Great Lakes region are passionate about but don't want to listen to a rambling presentation? Check out Ignite: a series of 5 minute presentations -- just long enough to know whether or not you're interested in the topic. Building on the success of 30+ local Ignites in Michigan, Ontario, Ohio, and throughout the Great Lakes region, Ignite Great Lakes will feature 12-15 of the best presentations from the Midwest, including a cancer survivor, a talented violinist, and a sword swallower. To register, see http://ignitegreatlakes.eventbrite.com.

Here are the details:
Date: July 30, 2011
Time: 7-10pm
Cost: Free
Venue: Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit, MI 48201
More information: http://igniteshow.com/greatlakes

Hosted in conjunction with Maker Faire Detroit (http://makerfaire.com), Ignite Great Lakes will serve as an "after hours" event for Maker Faire attendees and locals alike.

Over the last few weeks we've been curating a list of "Best Of" Ignite talks.
