Interesting. I tend to agree, though I have heard the exact opposite
argument with regards to the style position. Having real metrics helps
though. In alot of cases, things which could be considered premature
optimizations, if incorporated as a simple matter of style, save you
the trouble of tedious refactoring at later stages of an app's
life-cycle. Triviality is a matter of perspective.
