松本です。

本家 ActiveState で Perl for Zope Project を
始めて、Portal の FRONTENDにZopeを持ってこようとしている。
Perl と Python を両方開発してるし。

Zope is written in Python, and is easily extended with Python.
Unfortunately many programmers don't know Python, but do know Perl,
and have extensive libraries of Perl code.
  Perl is the most popular scripting language on the Internet and
there are thousands of modules and extensions to Perl,
 allowing a programmer to integrate almost any technology.

なそうなので、Perlでカスタマイズ出来る日も近いのでは。
