Hey all,<br><br>The monthly Thousand Oaks Perl Mongers meeting is this Wednesday (June 9th), 7pm, at the ValueClick office in Westlake Village.<br><br>This month Aran (me) will be presenting an hour-long talk (30 minutes is too short of time to do this topic justice):<br>
<br><b>Tools of the CPAN Ninja</b><br>By popular demand at May's Perl Mongers Aran will be presenting the
steps that it takes to publish a module on CPAN. He'll be covering the
various tools provided to CPAN authors including CPAN testers, Forums,
Ratings, PAUSE, the Back Pan, mailing lists, RT, etc. He'll also be
going over what a distribution is, how to author one, the pros and cons
of the various installation tools (Module::Build, MakeMaker,
Dist::Zilla, etc), and how to get a distribution released on CPAN. This
hour-long talk will provide all the tools a budding author needs to get
their first module on to CPAN.<br><br>More details can be found here, including the location of the ValueClick office:<br><br><a href="http://www.thousand-oaks-perl.org/calendar/13515398/">http://www.thousand-oaks-perl.org/calendar/13515398/</a><br>
