Well as the group is named "Thames Valley" I don't think the meetings must always be in Reading :-) We could go on tour and take in some of the other beautiful towns and cities in our region! We'll come to you! To all: so if you live in the Marlow area (or anywhere else locally) and have had trouble making it to Reading, please do pipe up. regards, oliver. We'll come to you! Excellent! If enough people are interested, we could either go for a social meetup in a Marlow pub, or a tech talk session. If the latter, I'll try and organise the location, and will be happy to do one of the talks. When you have tech talk sessions, roughly how many people come? I was speaking to a couple of others about a talks session in September (Aug is probably going to be too quiet, with family holidays?). Looks like London Perl Workshop will be 8th November this year, which makes for a good pitch: "trial your talk in front of a smaller, friendly audience", for anyone pondering an LPW submission. Equally, September would then not be too close to LPW. Fine also to move from Weds to another day when we're on tour, if people wish. > When you have tech talk sessions, roughly how many people come? We usually have about ten, give or take a couple (er, from a sample size of three tech talk sessions ;-). regards, oliver.
