Perl Mongers on tour sounds like an excellent idea. I can't make August, 
but I would look forward to meeting in Marlow in September. Presumably 
the date would be Monday 15th?

Well I can probably suggest a couple of places to meet in High Wycombe,
unfortunately Monday would be the only evening I could not come to the
meet.

Ok, time to get concrete. Here are some proposed dates for a TVAM[1] tech talks session, in decreasing order of preference:

	Wednesday 24th September
	Thursday 25th September
	Monday 22nd September
	Friday 26th September

I can't do Tuesdays, and I'm assuming people would prefer not on a Friday, and I remember someone said they can't do Mondays. 

Starting 7:30, or would people prefer 8?

How long do you usually give people for tech talks, 20 or 30 minutes?

Either the Wednesday or the Thursday. Mondays are totally out for me as I
do St John Ambulance Monday evenings.

Based on the responses so far, I've made an executive decision, and selected:

	Thursday 25th September 7:30

For the tech talks session. Nuance (who have their UK HQ in Marlow) have graciously agreed to let us use their main meeting room, which has a projector in it.

I don't know how this usually works, but now we've got that part sorted, would anyone like to volunteer to give a talk? As Oliver said, this is a good chance to practice something for the London Perl Workshop (LPW), which is on 8th November this year.

I'll give a talk, based on one I'm going to submit to LPW:

Exporter modules - how they work, and a bird's-eye view of the 40+ modules on CPAN, and which ones to use when.

In the past we've had two-ish normal length talks (20 minutes or so) 
and one-ish lightning talk (5 minutes). We have a 5/10 minute comfort 
break in the middle.

The lightning talk would be good for anyone new to speaking who wants 
to have a go in a friendly environment, or else if you have a neat idea 
you want to share. The "-ish" bit means we can have more or less of 
either depending on what people offer, so don't be shy!
