Some interesting costumes and some neat perl poetry. HR wanted the same
thing from us, so IT is now overrun with hundreds of very tiny, very
active 8 legged 'Web Servers' that have taken over the server room/IT
area.

Webbing from the walls and ceilings. Here at work we run the Cisco 7960
IP Phones,
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/tlhw/prodlit/7960_ds.htm in a
Call Manager environment. For those that have never heard of this, the
phones have a built in web server for management, as well as a being a
full featured XML browser. So this evening I plan to produce a new
Halloween themed image in the image format the phone uses, then push it
out to all the phones early Friday morning.

Speaking of IP telephony, I got an email from a friend of mine that does
a lot of AVVID work, and he found http://fwd.pulver.com which is the
Free World Dialer. I'm sure there are better sip servers out there, but
this one included a bit of custom notes for converting a 7960 to a sip
phone, so now I have one on my desk that has been converted. My FWD
number is 75420 if you want to connect any of the various SIP capable
devices or programs up to FWD and give me a call. Ok enough IP
telephony weirdness, though I promise to post to Perl and or PHP
programs that I use to do all of the phone goodness latter.
