In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi again, is anyone still interested in a meeting? That would be September 20, right? So Mark and Brian had suggestions for a location. Mark suggested two topics to talk about (Perl 6, Angular 2). I can do any of my three talks I held at YAPC::EU last week: http://act.yapc.eu/ye2016/user/461 My flight starts in about 20 hours, so I'll be offline then until I get a US sim card. So I'll be glad if there will be a technical or social meeting so I can meet some of you =) I'll check this list and IRC as soon as I'm online again. cheers, tina On Wed, 20 Apr 2016, Tina M?ller wrote: > Hi Seattle Perl Mongers! > > I'll visit the States in September. I'm Interested, but I'm not the Mark you referred to, so I know nothing of places, nor topics to present. If nothing else presents itself I can make something happen. I've only gone through your tmux talk so far, but its interesting. I looked through some of the other talks also. This one has good quote: A decade of dubious decisions http://act.yapc.eu/ye2016/talk/6768 this talk won't have a moral ... but if it did it would be: "Most of the time things don't get done by the best person to do it, but instead by whoever was stupid enough to try it anyway." The really cracks me up. "Oh yeah, sure, I can do that..." How many times have heard that? Sadly it may have been from my own lips on a few occasions... :-) On the off chance that you're a tunista, there are a few Irish Sessions in the area, though is seems there are more Irish tune players than perl hackers these days... :-) sl?inte, Yam - (Yet Another Mark) > > So Mark and Brian had suggestions for a location. > Mark suggested two topics to talk about (Perl 6, Angular 2). > I can do any of my three talks I held at YAPC::EU last week: > http://act.yapc.eu/ye2016/user/461 > > My flight starts in about 20 hours, so I'll be offline then until I > get a US sim card. > > So I'll be glad if there will be a technical or social meeting > so I can meet some of you =) > I'll check this list and IRC as soon as I'm online again. > > cheers, > tina > > > > On Wed, 20 Apr 2016, Tina M?ller wrote: > >> Hi Seattle Perl Mongers! >> >> I'll visit the States in September. Although i didn't actually show much of what I wanted to show; 5 minutes was too short ;-) The videos will soon be online, until then there's the live streams of each day still available here: http://act.yapc.eu/ye2016/wiki?node=Photos%20and%20Videos It was a really nice conference, although I ended up preparing my slides instead of listening, most of the time... > On the off chance that you're a tunista, there are a few Irish Sessions in > the area, > though is seems there are more Irish tune players than perl hackers these > days... :-) I don't exactly know what tune/tunista means here.
