I remember reading an article fairly recently comparing the chances of Earth being hit by a large asteroid to the chances of finding MD5 collisions. After an exhaustive search (ok, ten seconds on google) I was unable to find it, but I believe I was convinced that worrying about MD5 collisions wasn't useful. - James
