That's interesting that well-rounded to you means involvement in
software outside of work. Well-rounded to me and a lot of my peers
seemed to have meant "does things other than programming in spare
time".
I do enjoy talking about the various Free Software / Open Source
projects I contribute to, even if they don't relate directly to the job
at hand. I've found that some interviewers like this a lot. Others are
too focused to care beyond your abilities.
