  I would amplify this last statement. The main useful feature is that
  Unix::Syslog works on RedHat linux, whereas Sys::Syslog does not.
  Unix::Syslog actually uses the syslog(3) library call to post the
  message, wheras Sys::Syslog uses the socket interface to connect to
  syslogd(8), which is a little less efficient.
