* I caught tail end of discussion between Iain and James - something
about the future health of Perl5 and that an idea could be to
implement it in a JVM so you have access to Java runtime/code? (if I
have the wrong end of the stick then please correct me!)
* Some discussion of rates/salary of Perl versus other skills such as
PHP, Python and... node.js (http://www.itjobswatch.co.uk)
* Imran brought laptop and gave small demo of OpenID with
Net::Google::FederatedLogin (he also had a report of git corruption -
proposed solution: just re-create the repo)
* Some non-tech discussion of American politics
* A little on Gnome 3 versus 2
