Well in more than six months i have managed to release three
applications, one for the local dev teams, one for Honk Kong users and
a web application for Singapore users. Not too bad, hey :) I also did a
short talk on Perl programming(Mostly Damian Conway's Perl Best
Practices verbatim )<br>
<br>These applications are neither very
large/ nor overtly complex though. I think my enthusiasm for Perl is
because of the fact i could deliver things much faster.<br><br> Well i
can say one thing, Perl is definitely not dead. We have lots of legacy
code in Perl. However there seems to be some reluctance to accept it as
the mainstream development platform.<br>
<br>As far as Company Information is considered, i see that Bank of America(Our parent company now) is already listed on <a href="http://jobs.perl.org/" target="_blank">http://jobs.perl.org/</a>
as companies using Perl. I would be more than happy to broadcast the
fact that we use Perl, let me just run it past the communications team

I started experimenting with Perl and discovered to my pleasant surprise how much fun Perl programming is.<br>
Slowly but surely i have been pushing both Perl and better Perl programming practices in my organization.<br>

On that subject, by the way, I'm interested in making a list of companies who use Perl - it'll allow us to attack the myth that Perl isn't relevant any more and help Perl companies and Perl programmers find each other.<br>
