Effectiveness Engineering team in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

   - Develop, build and maintain APIs and automated systems to consume,
   process and distribute anti-spam intelligence data on a regular basis.
   These systems will also be used to train existing anti-spam systems and
   analysers.
   - Research and document Spam trends
   - Complete QA testing and monitoring for automated systems
   - Work on customer and regional specific messaging security problems.
   - Work with other teams within Symantec to develop infrastructure to
   collect and share information about mobile and SMTP security threats.

Qualifications:

   - Strong programming skills preferably Perl

   - Experience in anti-abuse, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-fraud,
   anti-virus, or NOC/SOC environment.
   - Strong knowledge and experience of SMTP POP3 TCP/IP DNS IMAP SSL/TLS
   SPF
   - Understanding of DNS and URL blacklists
   - Experience in Windows, Linux or UNIX environment
   - Knowledge of Email Protocols (i.e. RFC822) and knowledge of anti-spam
   and anti-malware best practices and products is a PLUS
   - Knowledge in regular expression is an advantage
