That will probably be done by a friend who does it for a living. Still it had me daydreaming and searching around for what I would use, and was wondering if you would care to discuss/post a comparison of the following frameworks. Why would you pick one over the other, what differentiates them? Catalyst- http://www.catalystframework.org/ - grandaddy of the big active frameworks? Lots of modules / flexibility? Mojolicious- http://mojolicio.us/ Dancer- http://perldancer.org/ Poet- http://search.cpan.org/~jswartz/Poet-0.09/lib/Poet/Manual/Intro.pod - sorry I am not in San Fran anymore and missed the presentation! Slides / video available? And I'm going to toss in an older, not so popular framework that I looked into a few years ago, which is still maintained: jifty- http://jifty.org/view/HomePage -y From fobispo at isc.org Sun Jul 29 12:15:12 2012 From: fobispo at isc.org (Francisco Obispo) Date: Sun, 29 Jul 2012 12:15:12 -0700 Subject: [sf-perl] All these Perl web frameworks In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <4BC45FA1-FD90-4550-AFF0-39CB04EFA3CB@isc.org> Catalyst... no discussion ;-) On Jul 29, 2012, at 11:57 AM, yary wrote: > Hiya ppl, > > I need to add some images, update the news etc on my wife's site > http://goncarova.com/ and in general it needs a complete redesign, > front end and back end both... SF.pm is 6th Perl mongers for me to visit abroad, following London, Vienna, Sao-Paulo, Rio and Moscow.pm. I was back to Tokyo last week. It's terribly hot and muggy summer in Tokyo. I'd love to back to SF ASAP. YAPC::Asia will be held from September 27. Autumn is definitely best season for Perl hackers to visit Japan. http://yapcasia.org/2012/ See you soon, Yusuke http://www.kawa.net/ http://search.cpan.org/~kawasaki/ http://www.facebook.com/kawanet
