[sf-perl] Importing CPAN modules into Github

I'm trying to unload^W^W open up collaboration for some CPAN modules
I'm maintaining by shipping them to Github.  Does anyone have any
advice for importing subversion repositories to Github?

I found this guide here but it seems to be lacking in few areas:

Github's svn import hasn't been working either with my subversion repo:
