Yeah, but those people (C.J. Date, Hugh Darwen, Fabian Pascal, etc.)
have been whining for years and not actually building software ;)

Nope. Just that there should be a NULL for each which is a state of
contagious ignorance, just as SQL's NULLs are, so for example,
NULL * 1 = NULL.
