If you've attended a previous SCALE you already know what a worthwhile event it will be. If you haven't, listen to this podcast from long-time Perl Monger Randal Schwartz for an earlier SCaLE: https://twit.tv/shows/floss-weekly/episodes/279 We'd like to host a Southern California Perlmonger's booth at the event, as we have in previous years, but to do that we need volunteers. You don't need to be a Perl expert to volunteer, just someone who is willing to talk about Perl with people who would like to talk about Perl. The booth would be open during "Exhibit Hall" hours from Friday through Sunday. Volunteers should expect to spend 4 hours at the booth on one of those days. In exchange, volunteers will get free Exhibitors Passes to the event, which will grant exhibit hall access as well as access to all the talks. If you'd be interested, send an email to mcduffee at gmail.com with your phone number. I'll need to hear from everyone by Thursday, January 12. Thanks, PerlMongers! Looking forward to seeing you at SCaLE 15x! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: Hello Perl Mongers, Our quarterly meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, but it's not going to be at the normal place. The location where we have been hosting meetings for the past few years has become unavailable, so now we're searching for a new location. If you know of a good location to host a half-dozen or more people, and that hopefully has good presentation equipment, please let me know so I can investigate it. In the meantime, I'm planning on seeing everyone at the food court at Scranton Towers on Tuesday evening starting about 7 PM. San Diego Perl Mongers meeting Sorrento Towers, 9450 Scranton Rd, 92121 Tuesday, January 10th, starting at 7 PM There will not be any presentations, but we'll chat about any questions attendees have, plus the latest and greatest Perl happenings, including the recent Perl Advent Calendar (and other Perl related ones), as well as any other tech topics that seem relevant. I look forward to seeing everybody there! --Bob -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
