I have good hopes of being able to reserve the auditorium of the San
Diego Supercomputer Center for this event. I'll have to get a final
date and do some administrative stuff on it, but that should normally
be formalities.

So: Do we want to use the SDSC Auditorium and what will our final date be?

I myself prefer Aug 16.

The Supercomputer Center should work out great.  Most people that had a
preference wanted Tuesday the 16th, so that'll be the date.  Also,
unless there is a strong push for something else, we'll be listening to
Damian's Life, the Universe, and Everything talk
(http://damian.conway.org/Seminars/Life.html).

Also, do people want to do two meetings in August, the normal one on
Monday August 8, plus this one; or do we want to only do the one meeing
on the 16th?

I'm definitely interested...I think I deleted the post that mentioned
the more likely day (Tuesday is good for me), and though the place was
mentioned, I don't think it's confirmed yet. Is there any latest word on
this? (And don't forget directions to the place...or at least an
address :-)

Hi,

i was able to reserve the auditorium of the San Diego Supercomputer
Center (capacity 100) Tue. Aug 16 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. I'll post
directions, since the whole UCSD campus is " 9500 Gilman Drive" you
won't find the address very helpful.
