Who knows? Maybe they'll have another trivia night that we can win with google on my cell phone. :) If anyone on this list is offended by the idea of meeting at hooters, I'll listen for an alternative, but I must say that this really is a family restaurant with an embarassing name. :) I'll be online until about 11am. Chris, what's the status on the TShirt design? It's ready to go, correct? Anthony, you said you had a TShirt making friend, how likely is it that we can get the TShirts ready in two weeks. Can you call him up and find out the price of, say, a dozen shirts, 100 shirts, or maybe 500 shirts? I didn't notice it because the dot only got removed once I cropped the image. All the shirts and stuff on the CafePress site have been fixed. Apologies to the two shirt beta-testers. I can send you a patch if you'd like. ;) ~chris -- Chris Radcliff Lead Software Engineer Blue Titan Software: Mission-Critical Web Services 858.622.1164 ~sdpm~ The posting address is: san-diego-pm-list@hfb.pm.org List requests should be sent to: majordomo@hfb.pm.org If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, you can send mail to with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe san-diego-pm-list If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to . From joel at fentin.com Wed Jul 24 16:12:45 2002 From: joel at fentin.com (Joel Fentin) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:20:37 2004 Subject: Open sores Message-ID: <3.0.4.32.20020724141245.007a6190@crash.cts.com> ~sdpm~ I and those I was with enjoyed Larry Wall's talk and the subsequent quiz. The next day (today) I went back to the exhibition hall. Since I arrived early, I sat in on a talk by Richard Stallman. The tone couldn't have been more different from that of Larry Wall. Larry's talk was in part about the interconnectedness of everything. A random choice of topics shows them to have commonalities. Don't let languages die; Don't kick the other guy, etc. We're all in it together. Richard's talk was pugilistic, confrontational - them versus us. "Them" was those who make money with software, practitioners of open source, and politicians. Us was the GNU community and those who are politicized. I liked the tone and message of Larry's talk much more. The exhibition halls were dominated by book sellers. Compared to last year, there was less of interest to me and less of everything. -- Joel Fentin tel: 760-749-8863 FAX: 760-749-8864 email: joel@fentin.com web: http://fentin.com ~sdpm~ The posting address is: san-diego-pm-list@hfb.pm.org List requests should be sent to: majordomo@hfb.pm.org If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, you can send mail to with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe san-diego-pm-list If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to .
