I'll join Rick in explaining that this wasn't necessarily a display of a 
lack of interest by the San Diego Perl community.  It's just that not 
all of us PerlMongers are bar hoppers.  At least one of us is a 
pretty boring old fart, who hasn't ever really enjoyed bars (or TJ, for 
that matter).

I'd love to hear Randal talk, or chat over a pizza or something, 
though.
