PerlMagick?

Has anyone here had any experience installing ImageMagick and 
its Perl interface, PerlMagick, on Windows?  
I successfully built ImageMagick 5.1.1, but couldn't get PerlMagick 
to install.  (It complained of xsubpp errors.)

So, I decided to try IM 5.2. Even worse.  IM seems to work only if 
the current directory is also the IM executables's directory.  
Otherwise, it complains of a missing delegates file when I try to 
process a jpeg.  Forget about trying to install PerlMagick.  

Suggestions?
