All these notions sound good to me.  The most helpful item to me would be to
see examples of problem solutions from other people - I'm sure a good number
of us hit the same troubles, repeatedly..

For instance:  Anyone authenticated NT users with perl scripts yet?  I
haven't found an obvious solution yet.
